KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS FROM OUR EVENTS

JANUARY TO MARCH

BBG was able to have a strong representation at the global launch of the Ultimate365 Tour apparel collection and the ZG23 golf shoe. As part of the trip, we were also able to visit Riviera for The Genesis Invitational to watch Tiger Woods, Cameron Champ, Marcus Byrd Aaron Rai, etc.

APRIL TO JUNE

The golf season kicked off with the St Andrew's Spring Invitational organised by Connoisseur Golf.


Kerabo Gwet, Devon Muzvimwe, and Tyrese Danso travelled to St Andrew's, Scotland to play on the Jubilee Course, Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns Links Course also known as the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship loop.

BBG parent on Connoisseur Golf Spring Invitational

ELEXIS BROWN GOLF FOUNDATION GOLF DAY 13 APRIL: Supported the Elexis Brown Golf Foundation, a charity set up by Ben and Hayley in honour and memory of their daughter Elexis Brown. The golf day was held at the Kirby Muxloe Golf Club and was a great success with over £6k raised



COLTON ALLEYNE-DAVIS GOLF DAY 14 APRIL: Supported the Colton Alleyne-Davis Golf Day in support of Epilepsy Society and Epilepsy Action. The tournament was played at Willingdon Golf Club with Ewan Wilson, and Mitsi Rukuni on hand representing a BBG team


GIRLS MACK CHAMP INVITATIONAL 13 - 14 APRIL: Together with Fafali Organization, our partner charity on the ground in Ghana, and the team at the Cameron Champ Foundation, we were able to get Julienne Afi Amezado to be the first player from Africa to take part in the Mack Champ Invitational.



URBAN SYNERGY GOLF DAY 13 APRIL: Supported the Urban Synergy golf day. Leila Thomas, founder of Urban Synergy, and her team are doing amazing and inspirational work in South East London and looking forward to supporting their future endeavours. A special mention to Muna Ebongalame who was also part of the golf day and a strong supporter of the Urban Synergy cause.



OUTTA BOUNDZ SHOW: Trey Niven and Jay Bothroyd went live with the Outta Boundz Show which is an exciting project that has been in the making for awhile



BRITISH GOLF SHOW 19 - 20 MAY: 2nd year of exhibiting at the British Golf Show. Stall C27 manned by Otis Graham and Mitsi Rukuni, was our base over the two days and it was a constant stream of activity and engagement. This event is significant to us because it allows us to drive home our message that we as stakeholders are actively vested in the game.



BLACK GIRLS TRAVEL INTRO TO GOLF 27 MAY:  Our first event for Black Women was held at N1Golf driving range in Greenwich. The day was a tremendous success and without exception, everyone who attended the event expressed an interest in furthering their golf journey.



PLAYHOUSE AT PITCH SOHO 29 MAY: As part of our commitment to deepen the roots of the game at the community level, we partnered with the Kickback team, a hub for Young Black Professionals in London. This was an exciting opportunity not only to showcase the game and bring our message #wearehereforthegolf but also that there are modern ways to play the game of golf in London. The collaboration also saw us partner with Las Olas, an upstart premium spiced rum brand, and Max Golf, a golf app-based platform committed to increasing the variety of playing opportunities.

JULY TO SEPTEMBER

ST PAUL's CARNIVAL, BRISTOL 1 JULY: Ewan Wilson aka Rawballs aka The Boat, in partnership with GolfWay and Bristol Golf Club delivered a series of golf clinics to over 50 young people during the St Paul's Carnival day.



GOLF MONTHLY GAME CHANGERS: BBG featured on the cover of Golf Monthly July edition titled: Game Changers



LIV GOLF – LONDON 7 - 9 JULY: Held a golf clinic for Future Athletes with Range Goats team. It was great to see the young golfers interact with Bubba Watson, Talor Gooch, Thomas Pieters Harold Varner III, and Troy Mullins. 



ARAMCO TEAM SERIES + FUTURE ATHLETES 14 - 16 JULY:  Saskia Owens and Karabo Gwet were afforded an opportunity to play in the London stop of the Aramco Team Series a Ladies European Tour event. Both Saskia and Karabo were also able to collaborate with Nelly Korda to shoot a content piece that went out on live broadcast television. 



This is a first for the community and the broader game and we couldn't be prouder of the two players.



THE 151st OPEN ROYAL LIVERPOOL:  In partnership with local PGA Pro Chris Crowder, Otis Graham was able to deliver golf for young people from Auckland College over a 6-week period which culminated in their attendance of The 151st Open at Royal Liverpool.



CONNOISSEUR GOLF WORK EXPERIENCE: Nayan and Jai Higgins joined the Connoisseur Golf team as part of a week-long hands-on and immersive work experience placement. 



AIG WOMENS OPEN 10–13 AUG: As part of our collaboration with adidas Golf, Nina Fischer was able to play in the AIG WOMENS OPEN Pro-Am played at Walton Heath, alongside Henni Koyack, Zainab Jeppe and LPGA Pro Grace Kim.



ROGER STEELE: Hosted Roger at Leatherhead Golf Club for his first-ever UK visit where he also got to play a round of golf with Zainab Jeppe and Gavin Creary.


FUTURE SHAPERS SERIES 2023 – 18 AUGUST 2023 @ FOXHILLS GOLF & COUNTY CLUB 


Our most successful event to date. 110 adults and 40 young people played on the Longcross and Bernard Hunt course respectively.

The theme for this years Future Shapers Series was Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding, Truth, and Excellence. We worked with Bando Towels to design commemorative pieces that we hope all those who attended the event will embrace the symbolic messages embodied in the towels and carry the message to all that playing this game: all."

OCTOBER TO DECEMBER

CONNOISSEUR GOLF AUTUMN INVITATIONAL 16 – 20 OCTOBER: Despite storm Babet bringing exceptional rainfall to parts of eastern Scotland, Cassius Blake, Kai Williams Jr, Genelle Aldred, and Mitsi Rukuni braved the conditions and played their part in delivering another great tournament week.



GOLF MONTHLY FEATURE - OCTOBER: Frank Skinner shares the history of the African Caribbean Golf Association (ACGA)with Golf Monthly.



Q&A WITH ROBIN TIGER WILLIAMS: A two-hour Q&A session hosted by Kai Williams Jr (16 years old). A wonderful turnout with 39 active screens participating in the call. Look forward to hosting more events in the future.



BLACK HEART FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: Congratulations to Alex John for becoming the first Black Heart Foundation Scholar based on referral and support from the BBG platform. 



LIV GOLF GRANT: As part of LIV Golf's Potential Unleashed, BBG has been nominated to receive grants to support our community-based initiatives - the first time we have had direct investment into the grassroots of our game.



GOLF BUSINESS QUARTERLY MAGAZINE: BBG features in the PGA Golf Business Quarterly. The magazine includes in-depth interviews and genuine analysis of key data around the most important topics facing the golf industry. GBQ is supported by a steering group of senior industry figures, whose contributions ensure a broad perspective on the golf business landscape
